Jim was born at Freshwater,P.B. but grew up at Fort Amherst, St.john's where his father was lighthouse keeper. He is a retired high
school teacher and now resides in Goulds with his wife, Maureen, and their children, Alethea and Edmund.
With Kilmainham he sings and plays guitar.
