Frank Davis
Frank grew up in Carbonear and started playing guitar aroung age 15. Back in those days the music of choice was folk and country and hence thats where Frank spent most of his music focus. Irish music played a big part in Franks early days at MUN where The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem were very popular. This enthusiasm overflowed into university time spent at Nova Scotia Technical College in Halifax and later back in St.John's during the Ryans Fancy and Sons of Erin craze that turned The Strand Lounge in St.John's into a pligrimage site for Irish music fans.
Frank spent his working career at Newtel Communications and retired in Dec 2001. He also plays mandolin and also performs in the Avalon Ramblers, a bluegrass and oldtime country music group.
